Privacy Policy
DueCat ("the app," "we," "our") is a subscription-tracking app for iOS. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Last updated: 30 Aug 2026
The short version
DueCat is built to keep your data on your device and in your own iCloud account. We do not operate servers that store your subscription data, we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone.
Information the App Handles
To provide its core function, DueCat stores the information you enter, including:
If you choose a custom photo as your app background, that photo is selected through Apple's system photo picker — DueCat never receives access to your full photo library, only the specific image you pick.
Where Your Data Lives
All of the information above is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database technology (SwiftData). If you're signed in to iCloud, this data syncs across your own devices through your private iCloud database — a storage space tied to your Apple Account that only you and your devices can access. We do not have our own servers, and we cannot see, access, or retrieve your subscription data.
Notifications
DueCat can send you local reminders about upcoming renewals and trial expirations. These are scheduled entirely on your device — no notification content is sent to or generated by a remote server.
Purchases
DueCat Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). We do not collect, see, or store your payment details — Apple handles the transaction and manages your receipt.
Third-Party Services
DueCat does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party service involved is Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), used solely to sync your own data across your own devices.
Children's Privacy
DueCat is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you use the app. You can delete individual subscriptions at any time within the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device; your iCloud-synced copy can be removed by deleting the app's data from your iCloud storage settings (Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
